At what point in our experience are we able to discern the difference between what's familiar-from-the-past-that-is-good from the familiar-from-the-past-that-is-bad? Falling into familiar patterns can disrupt or launch our next step. Of course, I have the specifics in my own mind, but I imagine that others can relate to this, too.

It seems that it might be easy to discern the differences. But perhaps you are going much deeper with the specifics in your own mind.
